The real Canadian experience, an authentic darling little 600 square foot log cabin in the middle of the woods by a tiny lake off the grid. The cabin sleeps four, is ideally suited for a couple or small family. You have the option of renting the yurt which can accommodate two more.
The lake is very small but there are pike, perch and catfish in it…apparently, there is that elusive big one that got away. There is a swim raft in the middle of the lake as well, a couple of canoes, paddle boat and rowboat. Enjoy bonfires by the waters edge or star gaze. We have trails on 230 acres and are 20 minutes from Gatineau & 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa.
Pets, yes we allow pets, only well behaved pets.

IN THE WINTER you would park at our home which is a mile away and we would get you to the cabin via skidoo or ATV on a packed trail and settle you in or you could walk, snow shoe or ski in. To walk the packed trail would take about 35 minutes. When you are ready to leave the cabin, give us a call and we will pick you up. Part of the winter rental is delivering you to the door, setting the fire for you in the morning before you arrive to take the chill out, as well as setting up the wood fired hot tub for two if you so desire. You would be all alone on a little lake in a cabin by a crackling fire in the middle of the woods..........in a wood fired hot tub..........now how perfect is that!!!

Rates are for maximum four persons in the cabin.
Off season November to May $950.00
In season June to October, our weeks run from Saturday to Saturday $1200
Weekend....$500.00 Check in Friday and Check out Sunday
Four night Week $500.00 Check in Monday Check out Friday
Additional $75.00 for the use of the yurt, whether for the night or the week.
We can also provide an additional service of stocking the fridge, wine, flowers, this service is an additional $50.00 plus your supplies, just give me your list and I will take care of everything for you. Now this would be sure to impress!!!
50 percent deposit by check, $300 security deposit, dated for check in date, balance in cash

Interior Cabin MovieThe cabin comes fully equipped. Power is supplied by the sun. Two solar panels and 6 batteries supply enough power for your lights.
There is an adorable outhouse, inside toilet for pee pee only, sink and shower, all of our systems are unique in different seasons.The Kitchen is 7 by 11, has a small 4 burner propane stove and oven and a mid size propane fridge with tiny freezer. In the winter there is a cooler outside to keep extra food in. There is gravity fed running water at the sink and above the sink is a water filter gravity fed system for drinking water. All your spices, sugar, salt, flour, oil, etc. are in the cupboards, lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, almost everything you would have at your home. It opens up to the back deck where you will find the BBQ. The out house is not far.
The main part of the cabin is 16' by 14', has a couch, oak table and chairs, wood stove and lots of games and lots books. There is also a djembe drum and guitar.Quaint decor and attention to detail. It is cozy, romantic and warm.
The total area of this darling log cabin is 600 sq. ft.The back room serves as both a mudroom and small bedroom with a double pull down bed. This room is mostly used as our mud room and opens up to a side deck where the 2 person wood fired cedar soaking tub is. In the main part of the cabin there is a steep ladder/stairs leading upstairs to a good sized bedroom that has cathedral ceiling, skylight and lots of windows. There is a queen sized bed and is tastefully decorated.
