The platform was made with cedar logs cut
to 6' and then I notched them with my
chainsaw and spiked them together, three logs
on the bottom. Nailed some hardware cloth on
the bottom and filled it full of debris from
the shoreline including flag iris, fern. I
cut a stick of alder and
stuck that in. It will root and form a
bit of shade. An birch branch thrown on
top completes it, maybe some birds would like
to nest in it and of course the "DO NOT
DISTURB" sign to keep the humans from disturbing it.
This morning I had two
otters on it having their breakfast of fish. It is a haven
for wildlife.
